It makes me happy to create a piece of art that will bring someone joy for many years.

Commissioning a painting is easy; you send me photos of what you want me to paint and we'll work together to choose the best one.

I can paint on nearly any size canvas. Here are a few common sizes to give you an idea of my price range. These prices are for "normal" paintings -- ones in the same style that you see in my portfolio. Have a special project? Let's talk.

  • 16"x16" - $325
  • 16"x20" - $375
  • 18"x24" - $425
  • 24"x24" - $575
  • 24"x36" - $825
  • 30"x40" - $1,100
  • 36"x36" - $1,175
  • 36"x48" - $1,450
  • 36"x60" - $1,800

I typically paint on 1.5" gallery-wrapped canvases, but can also paint on cradled wood panels.

Thinking you're probably gonna need a painting? Great! Let's chat.

You'll pay me half the cost of your painting upfront and the second half when I ship it. (Shipping costs estimated separately.) If you are not happy with the finished product, you are not obligated to buy it, but you will lose your deposit.

"Commissioning Catherine for a painting was a great experience. When I sent her the photograph, she was clear about her reservations about particular parts of the painting (in my case, I had loads of buildings and my dogs in the photo). I didn't care about the buildings, but I did care about the dogs. She asked for lots of pictures of the dogs in low light from behind and details about their breed. She sent sketches and asked for feedback. She messaged me about the progress. She sent it three weeks before I needed to give it as a gift. My husband was thrilled, and unprompted, said "their butts are perfect." It was a perfect first anniversary present."

"Catherine did a painting for us of a very special place. A place we only get to visit once a year. A place we have been going to for years. She managed to completely and perfectly capture the essence and the beauty of our favorite spot with incredible detail. We have the painting hanging over our fireplace and enjoy it every day. Thank you Catherine for giving us our little piece of heaven to tide us over until the next visit.
