This, guys, THIS is what Oklahoma looks like. No, not the whole state, but this painting is so representative of my time here -- the enormous clouds, the straight highways and county roads, the trees that are forever on the horizon, the way the clouds look somehow heavy and weightless at the same time...
I took the photo for this painting in late May, when my husband and I were headed back to Enid after spending a night in Tulsa for a wonderful Leon Bridges concert. We drove through some kind of dicey looking clouds to this glorious-ness on the other side.
