I'm super excited about this 36"x48" painting. It was commissioned by the CEO of several senior living and memory care communities. The painting will hang over the fireplace in the Oklahoma City location; the fireplace is in the front entry, so this will really be a focal point. The painting is of the view from the front steps of the main building.
Tomorrow, we're having an unveiling of the painting at the center. The new art is part of a series of cosmetic upgrades. After the unveiling, I will teach a short painting class for about a dozen of the residents.
I think it is great that the CEO wants to treat his residents to original art as well as support local artists.
Today, I have to put a couple finishing touches on the painting (which I have been working on for a few weeks) and put it in its silver leaf floater frame.
