30 paintings in 30 days: Day 2

Today's painting is the smallest I have ever done. It is 5"x5" on a 1.5" deep gallery-wrapped canvas. I recently discovered a new spot to take photos that's on the way from my office to my house. Since the sun has been setting early, I have stopped a number of times recently to take photos on my drive home. This painting shows a late November sunset from that spot.

I like the graphical aspect of the perpendicular rows of crops and the line that is created where the two fields meet. I took a number of photos on this night and think I might paint a larger version of something similar.
