30 paintings in 30 days - Day 10

Alright folks, getting back on the horse here. Sorry I didn't have something to share yesterday. Yesterday, my husband and I made a trip to OKC in the afternoon and evening. We drove home at dusk and I took about a hundred photos of the oncoming storm -- I'll be painting from those starting this weekend. I didn't really think I had it in me, but at about 10 p.m. last night, I dragged myself into the studio, where I painted this.

Ringwood August Drive #2 - 16"x16"

It's not quite done and I'll finish it today. The composition is done, but I have a few things I want to clean up. Aside from being square, it is very similar to this one. I loved the first painting so much, I wanted to paint it again! I painted to the sound of rain and thunder (which brought a welcome cold front and gave us a beautiful fall-ish day today) while my sweet husband napped in his new recliner in my studio. At 1 a.m., we dragged ourselves to bed.

Have a great weekend!
