Valentine’s Day Gift Guide: Thoughtful Gifts for Seven People on Your List
It’s basically February, which mean’s Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Love or loathe this “Hallmark Holiday,” who wouldn’t be cheered up by a thoughtful gift right about now? To help you out, I’ve put together a little gift guide. Need some personalized help? Don’t hesitate to drop me a line: catherine@catherinefrehleyart.com.
For the Artsy Partner that Doesn’t Need More Stuff:
Whether you’re looking for a date-night activity or wanting to gift your special someone an hour or two of alone time, my online painting classes are a great (and affordable!) way to try something new or rekindle an old passion. I have three classes that teach specific skills, and two in which you follow along as we paint a landscape scene from start to finish.
For your Galentine:
Our phones are great and all, but sometimes you just need to write something down. These colorful notebooks featuring my art are perfect for jotting down lists, doodling while you’re on hold with the insurance company, writing poetry, and detailing your five-year plan for achieving work-life balance. Or, you know, whatever you want. You can choose lined or unlined paper and buy them individually or in packs of three.
For Treat Yo’ Self:
This sunset painting because you know what? You deserve it. The melon-y oranges and pinks in this striking sunset make the painting feel warm and happy; it will be a bright “window” in any room.
For Mama:
Don’t forget your mother on Valentine’s Day. This is my newest print and it’s available in sizes from 8”x10” to 30”x40.” With the meandering shoreline, you feel like you could just walk right into the sunrise. Look closely, and you’ll see all sorts of paint drips in the painting – unexpected and fun, these intriguing marks remind you that it’s a painting made by an artist’s hands.
For the Kids’ Teachers:
There will be no shortage of glitter, candy, and Encanto Valentine’s cards in the kids’ classrooms. Why not give the teacher something they would actually like to put on their desk? These mini prints offer a sweet 12 square inches in which a teacher can rest their eyes and transport themselves to a place of peace and quiet.
For Each Other:
You know what lasts longer than a fancy dinner, champagne, and roses? A painting. Plus, you don’t have to fight for a reservation and there’s no hangover. I have three statement pieces currently available.
For the Person Who Can’t Believe it’s Already February!:
I sold out of calendars on my website back in December, but I just received a few back from a boutique where they were on consignment. I have a very limited quantity and I have marked them down for you. Help your friend keep track of the rest of the year with a 2022 calendar.
