This soothing painting is from a cloudy summer day on the Washington Coast. There wasn’t a lot of color in the sky, which led your eye to the pretty blues and greens of the bay and grasses along the bank. The movement in the clouds and the diagonal lines of the vegetation keep this painting interesting, while the soft colors make it feel calming.
