November Confetti Sky #6 - 24"x24" Light-up Painting

This painting shows the sun setting over a field in Enid, Oklahoma. This was the most spectacular sunset I have ever seen. I was driving home from work and the clouds hadn’t started to turn colors yet, but the shape and pattern of the clouds was perfect and I knew it was going to be something. I pulled over at one of my favorite photo-taking spots and waited. What an incredible treat.

This is a very unique painting! The foreground is painted on a separate wood panel that is mounted slightly in front of the "background" sky panel. An LED light strip is mounted between the two wood panels; turn the lights on a subtle neon-style glow will illuminate the horizon. These are super cool! Using the included remote, you can choose to have a steady light or to have the light fade between different colors.

This painting was a collaboration with my husband; he cut out the foreground panel, installed the lights, and mounted the foreground panel to the painting.
