This painting shows a striking, hot pink sunset over the vast, open plains of Southwest Oklahoma. I love the soft oranges in the sunset against the dark blue of hills in the far-off distance. I painted this scene from a photo I took in late winter – barren fields, dry dirt road to nowhere and a stunning sky.
